Polkton Mrs. Mary Frances "Frankie" Burns Carpenter, 88, passed peacefully from this life to the next on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018.
Funeral services will be 4:00PM Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremiah Johnson officiating, Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour before the service.
Frankie was born on May 11, 1929, a daughter of the late William Franklin and Fannie Lewis Burns. She was married to Albert Eugene "Tick" Carpenter who preceded her in death in 1997. She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and was faithful to her Sunday school class until her health began to fail.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Brantley (Ted) of Monroe and Becky Carpenter (Tim) of Wadesboro; eight grandchildren, Monica Caudle, Travis Williams, Jeremy Williams, Nick Brantley, Jenn Brantley, Kenzie Brantley, Matt Carpenter, and Case Carpenter; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Frankie was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly, in 2014.
The family suggest memorials be made to Hospice of Anson County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
