Mary Pharr Mrs. Gibson

TAR HEEL - Mary Pharr Gibson of Bladen and Anson Counties passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born on Feb 26, 1926 to Frances and Scott Pharr in Tar Heel. Mary enjoyed a full life of love and accomplishment as a nurse, wife, sister, aunt, and mother with her family and community. She is survived by sons: Scott (Dori) Toler of Bogue Chitto, MS and Pryor (Barbara) Gibson of Wadesboro and Raleigh. Sisters: Janice S. (Durham) White of St. Pauls; Gladys Pharr and Ann P. (Bill) Elks of Tar Heel; and grandchildren: Mary El Toler, John Toler, Pryor Gibson IV, Emma Gibson; great-grandson Christopher Toler; and many loved nephews, nieces, and extended family. Special thanks to her namesake niece Marianne Stoudt and family, Beth Car Church, Poplar Heights Center, and numerous church and community friends for her outstanding care. A memorial service will be held at Beth Car Presbyterian Church located on Hwy 87, Tarheel, on Sunday, March 29, at 1 p.m. with family visitation and refreshments immediately after in the fellowship hall.
