Mary Louise Treadaway Harward

ANSONVILLE - Mrs. Mary Louise Treadaway Harward, 85, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, January 22, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday and other times at the home. Mary Lou was born December 14, 1931 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Parker Treadaway and the late Elsie McRae Treadaway. She had worked for many years with West Knitting Mills and was a member of Ansonville Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of sixty-six and one half years, Charles Everett Harward of the home; her children, Charles Everett (Carolyn) Harward, Jr. of Wadesboro, Louise Harward (Edwin) Thomas of Peachland and Frances Harward (Dennis) Radford of Gastonia; her grandchildren, Philip (Jennifer) Harward of Wadesboro, Christy (Dac) Brown of Bealton, VA, Jenny Thomas of Greensboro, Megan Thomas of Peachland, Gene (Stacey) Radford of Kings Mountain, and Neil (Heather) Radford and Kelley Radford both of Dallas; her 9 great-grandchildren; her 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister and brothers, Sarah Hildreth of Florence, SC, John (Kathy) Treadaway of Cheraw, SC and Richard Treadaway of Wadesboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandsons, Charles Everett Chuckie Harward, III, J.R. Radford and brothers and sister, Robert, Jim and Patsy Treadaway. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
