Mary Jo Tilley Rogers

YADKINVILLE - On Monday, August 28, 2023, Mrs. Mary Jo Tilley Rogers, 76, passed away peacefully at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC. She was a former resident of Ellerbe, NC.

Mary Jo was born August 25, 1947 in Richmond County, NC and was a daughter of the late David and Nettie Puckett Tilley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Billie Jo Rogers of Yadkinville and Eddie Rogers of Wilmington; her sister, Carolyn Spivey (Jerry) of Yadkinville; her brother-in-law, Bob Rogers of Stanfield; her sisters-in-law, Edna Ruth Rogers, Mary Alice Rogers and Margaret Rogers all of Wadesboro and several beloved nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Rogers and her brothers, Ray Davis Tilley adn Roger Lee Tilley.

The family would like to th thank the staff at Pruitt Health-Elkin and Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin for taking such good care of Mary Jo, especially Meredith, who was her favorite nurse at Pruitt.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Operation Smile.

A celebration of life service and interment in Anson Memorial Park will be at a later date.
