Mary Lindy Tillman Mrs. Little

Mary Lindy Tillman Little, 96 was born November 18, 1918 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Samuel Edgar Tillman and Veta L. Tillman. She went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 16, 2015 with her family by her side. She attended J.R. Faison School and worked various jobs including Holly Farms, Wadesboro Nursing Home and a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church, Sikes Avenue in Wadesboro, where she served as a faithful member who truly loved the Lord. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, and gardening and truly had a heart for people. Mary had a sincere personal touch associated with a genuine smile for everyone she met. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Little. She is survived by her daughter, Maggie Collins of Wadesboro; 3 grandchildren, Randy (Frances) Gaddy, Lakeisha (Bartequa) Blackmon and April Dykes; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Juanita McCulley, Charlie Ann Williams, Suzie Norton, Wayne Medley, Brenda Bennett, Rev. Oscar Tillman and Samuel Tillman and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Saturday, August 22, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Sikes Avenue with Rev. Gregory Everett officiating. The family will greet friends beginning at 11:30am Saturday at the church.
