Mary Alice McRae Lookabill

WADESBORO Mrs. Mary Alice McRae Lookabill, 94, died peacefully on Sunday, July 8, 2018 while a resident at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Dr. and Mrs. Fred Senter officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday and other times at the home of her daughter, Macie. Mary Alice was born October 17, 1923 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Thomas Allen McRae and the late Alice Treadaway McRae. She was a graduate of Lilesville High School, retired from the Anson County Tax Collectors Office and a long-time member of First Baptist Church, Wadesboro. Surviving are her children, Macie Lookabill Ross and Lee Roy Lookabill, Jr., and wife, Gay both of Wadesboro and Adele Lookabill Fernandez and husband, Larry of Midlothian, VA; her grandchildren, Heather Horne and husband, Dennis and Travis Lookabill and wife, Nicole both of Wadesboro, John Fernandez and wife, Jill of Hilton Head, SC, Jennifer Surface and husband, Chuck of Durham and Matthew Fernandez of Midlothian, VA and her great-grandchildren, Katie and Natalie Horne, Erin and Gage Lookabill, Dylan, Tommy, Danny and Annabelle Fernandez, Cody and Elizabeth Surface and Marlee Fernandez. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Lookabill and her brother and sisters, Thomas A. McRae, Jr., Elsie Davis, Leola Henry and Eunice Tyson.
