Wadesboro - Mrs. Mary Helen Robinson Tillman, 80, 103 Collier Lane Wadesboro, North Carolina entered into her Heavenly rest on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her home.
Mary was born in Anson County to the late Mr. Fred Flowers and Susie Robinson Little on May 29, 1936.
She was a faithful member of Madison Grove Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed. Mary worked domestic service for Walker and Sallie Lett until she retired in 1987. Her faithfulness and devotion to God are what gave her strength daily to carry on.
Mary had a love for all people. She welcomed everyone into her home. She didnt mind cooking for you. Mary enjoyed fishing and quilting. She was a very proud and caring person.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Fred Tillman, Jr. and five other siblings; Elizabeth Gainey, Ben Frank Robinson, Rosa Mae Autry, Bernice Wall and James L. Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories four sons; Minister Lee Thomas Tillman (Elaine) of Wadesboro, NC; Freddie Ross Tillman (LaVaughn) of Charlotte, NC; King Sylvester Bill Tillman (Ann) of Laurel Hill, NC; and Paul Bennett Tillman (special friend - Jamie Harris) of Wadesboro, NC. One sister-in-law, Laura Robinson; and one brother-in-law, James Autry. She had 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marys love was so infectious and through that love she gained an extended family; four daughters, Frances Pope, Kelly P. Stone, Marian Dennis and Wilma Drake.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, January 23, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Madison Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 1:30pm until 2:00pm in the chapel prior to the service.
