WADESBORO – On Thursday, December 30, 2021, Mary Lynn Usrey, 64, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health CMC Main Hospital in Charlotte, NC.

There will be a service to celebrate her life at 3:00pm Friday, January 7, 2022 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Knotts officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Mary Lynn was born June 11, 1957 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Harold Clay “Sonny” Usrey and the late Mary Geraldine Lee Usrey. She was a graduate of Bowmn High School and was retired from Anson County Schools, having worked at Anson Middle School in the cafeteria.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers and sisters, Ronald Clay “Ronnie” Usrey and Thomas Lee 'Rock” Usrey both of Myrtly Beach, SC, Brenda Usrey Pegram of Lilesville and Patty “Kitty” Usrey Montgomery (Eddie) of Kansas City, MO; her nices and nephews, Michelle Dennis (Matt) of Norwood, Todd Pegram of Lilesville, Lisa Andrews (Joe) of Blue Springs, MO, Kimberly Fuller (Jason) of Smithfield, MO, Max Usrey of Myrle Beach, SC and Miles Usrey of Morgantown, WV and her great-nieces and nephews, including Lee Ann Dennis, Ashley Steagall (Wes) and Natalie Davis; and her uncle, Tom Usrey (Toma) of Clearwater, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Milton Pegram.

Mary Lynn will be remembered for her no-nonsense personality. She was very tenderhearted and loved hard. She would be quick to apologize if she felt as if she hurt someone's feelings and needed to make things right. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who loved her.
