MORVEN - Mrs. Maxine Donahue Morgan, 90, died Saturday, May 30, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro. Interment will follow in Morven Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Maxine was born October 23, 1924 in Richmond County, NC a daughter of the late Lawrence Arlen and Azza Loree Watson Donahue. She was a homemaker and a member of North Wadesboro Baptist Church. Surviving are her children, Sherrill Henry and Steve Morgan both of Morven, Joe (Becky) Morgan of Wadesboro, Phil (Wanda) Morgan of Garden City, SC and Gina (David) Wooten of Cumming, GA; her grandchildren, Eddie (Shannon) Henry of Oakboro, Dean (Brandon) Thomas of Lilesville, Breyene (Jason) Barnes of Virginia Beach, VA, Matt Morgan of Charlotte, Ian (Ashlee) Morgan of Norwood and Megan Wooten of Cumming, GA; her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Lennon, Shaler and Cartney Henry, Ivy Thomas and Eli and Anslee Barnes; and her sister, Hazel (Coleman) Oneal of Rockingham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Morgan, son-in-law, Eddie Henry and brothers, Harry, L.A., Homer and infant Jimmy Donahue. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Community Home Care and Hospice for the loving and compassionate care they provided over the years and a special thanks to Pam Williams and Mary O'Kelly and special friends, Joyce Chewning and Libby Diggs. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1971 E. Broad Ave., Rockingham, NC 28379. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
