Maynard Gaskin Mr. Dutton, Sr

Lilesville - Mr. Maynard Gaskin Dutton, Sr., 91, died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the Salisbury VA Medical Center in Salisbury. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Lilesville Baptist Church with Rev. Teddy Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lilesville Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm in the church. Maynard was born July 3, 1924 in Anson County, NC a son of the Late Henry Gifford and Eula Kelly Dutton. After graduating from Deep Creek High School he enlisted in the United States Navy and served in 111th Naval Construction Battalion. He was retired from Durham Life Insurance Company and was a member of Lilesville Baptist Church. Surviving are his two children, Maynard G. Dutton Jr. of Charlotte and Sherri D. McRorie and husband, Rick of Norwood; his granddaughter, Heather Crump and husband, Jason of Aquadale; two great-grandchildren, Reagan and Reece Crump; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Walters Dutton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly and The Uwharrie, 960 N.
