Med Coleman Northcutt, Sr

MORVEN - Mr. Med Coleman Northcutt, Sr., 86, died Sunday, May 28, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, McFarlan. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Med was born September 9, 1930 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Grove Cleveland Northcutt and Gladys Timmons Northcutt. He was a life-long member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and a graduate of Morven High School. He was the owner and operator of Northcutt Rental Properties and had been an auctioneer and Morven Police Officer. Surviving are his sons, Med (Emeline) Northcutt, Jr. of Wadesboro, Rick Northcutt of Charlotte and Dr. Jeff Northcutt of Palm Springs, CA; his granddaughters, Cerise Belk of Norwood, Kristi Henry of Marshville and Kay (Justin) Edwards of Monroe and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mary Harney Northcutt, his great-grandson, Matthew Landon Belk and his sisters and brothers, Marie Burns, Catherine Duckworth, Harold, Raymond, Edward, Jerry and Frank Northcutt.
