Wadesboro-Mr. Melvin Jackson 'Jackie' Knotts, 73, died Friday, September 18, 2015 at Ambassador Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Knotts and Rev. Tommy Knotts officiating. Interment will follow at Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home. Jackie was born April 2, 1942 in Anson County, NC a son of the late William and Kate Crump Knotts. He was retired from Wansona Mfg. and was a huge Tarheel Fan. Surviving are his sister, Louise Tarlton of Wadesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, James Knotts, W.T. Knotts, Anderson Knotts, Mary Carpenter and Margaret Warner.
