Michael Edgeworth

Indian Trail- Mr. Michael Edgeworth, 68, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at his home in Indian Trail. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, February 22, 2019 at Leavitt Funeral Home with Dr. George West officiating. Interment will follow in Wightman United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Michael was born November 21, 1950 in Richmond County, NC and raised by his grandparents, the late Everett Quick and Mary Shankle Quick. He was a son of the late Johnnie Edgeworth and Mary Quick Edgeworth Baker. He was a graduate of Bowman High School class of 1969. Michael was self-employed and enjoyed selling and socializing at the Barnyard Flea Market in Pineville. He loved the outdoors and was a devoted North Carolina Tarheel fan. Surviving are his beloved wife of 47 years, Nancy Hyatt Edgeworth of the home; a special aunt and uncle, Charlotte Grant and husband, Haywood of Ellerbe; his sister, Pennie Edgeworth of Unionville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his grandparents and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister, Charles Edgeworth, Jerry Edgeworth, Johnnie Edgeworth and Sallie Ann Edgeworth.
