WADESBORO - Mrs. Mildred Johnson Maree, 84, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare Anson in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Saturday, April 11, 2015 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. LeGrand Kelly and Rev. Chris Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday and other times at the home. Mildred was born August 6, 1930 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late William Lawrence Johnson and Cora Parker Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Cathedral Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Denise Maree of the home; and her brother and sisters, Arthur Johnson of Lilesville, Shirley Williams of Charlotte and Rachel Eddins and Rochelle Williams both of Wadesboro; her beloved cat Pooh and her nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Maree and brothers and sister, Brady, Shorty, Buddy, Limon and Grady Johnson and Glennie Kelly.
