WADESBORO - Mrs. Minnie Williams Shankle, 84, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, August 31, 2015 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Goudelock officiating. Interment will follow in Jowers Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the funeral home. Minnie was born July 8, 1931 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late James Ellis Williams and the late Armantine Bailey Williams. She was a homemaker and a life-long member of Wadesboro Church of God. Surviving are her children, Louise (Ebrahim) Moradian of Washington, MI, Herbert (Kathy) Shankle, III of Charlotte, Mishie (Roderick) Thomas of Peachland and Esta (Keith) O'Neal of Oakboro; her grandchildren, Joseph (Lena) Moradian of Washington, MI, Edward (Christina) Maradian of Sterling Heights, MI, Mishele (Jonathan) Davis of Wadesboro and Tennille Shankle of Charlotte; her great-grandchildren, Luke and Tena Shankle and Mya and Victoria Moradian; and her brothers and sisters, Grady Williams of Newland, Ray Williams and Alvin Williams both of Rockingham, James Williams and Laverne Williams both of Thomasville, Allie Newton and Nezzie Woody both of Wadesboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Herbert Eli Shankle, Jr. and brothers and sisters, Daniel, Robert, John, Anson and Ellis Williams, Sallie Battaglia, Mary Lou Williams and Elmyra Funderburke.
