Peachland - Mrs. Miriam Teal Eury, 71, died Friday, June 17, 2016, at her home in Peachland, NC. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home with interment following in Anson Memorial Park, Wadesboro. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the funeral home. Miriam was born in Anson County on March 7, 1945, a daughter of the late Alan Bunyon Jacko Teal and Nancy Wallace Teal. She had worked for the M & I newspaper and also as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Jimmy Eury of the home; a daughter, Vonda Thomas (John Dee) of Covington, GA; a step-child, Kevin Eury of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Benjamin Steele of Rockingham and Dean Smith of Monroe, GA; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Wallace of Monroe; and a very special pet dog, Diesel. In addition to her parents, Miriam was preceded in death by a great-grandchild. The family suggest memorials be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.
