Myrtle was born August 2, 1937 in Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Paul Mason Jameson and Goldie Elizabeth Carson Jameson. She had worked for a number of years at Polkton Hosiery as a supervisor. A woman of great faith, she was a member of First Baptist Church Indian Trail East Campus in Marshville. She was dedicated to her walk with the Lord and was fortunate enough to visit the Holy Land with her church family, something she looked forward to for some time. She was blessed to walk through the places where her Savior had walked himself. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Kenny Martin of Ansonville and Sharon and Mark Smotherman of Clemson, SC; her grandchildren, Karen Martin and Kyle Martin both of Ansonville, John Mark Smotherman and Sara Beth Smotherman both of Clemson, SC; her great-granddaughter, Riley; and her sisters-in-law, Annie Edwards of Marshville and Helen Taylor of Polkton. Myrt will be remembered for her beautiful bright eyes, wonderful smile and her hugs and kisses to her family and friends she loved. By her loving ways, she touched many lives and was an encouragement to all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Indian Trail, East Campus Building Fund, P.O. Box 279, Marshville, NC 28103. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.leavittfuneralhomewadesboro.com
