Wadesboro - Mrs. Myrtle Arlene Oliver Lisk, 82, died peacefully on January 1, 2016 at her home.
A service to celebrate her life will be 5:00PM Sunday at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Jerome Cash officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 4:00PM and other times at the home of Sandra Carpenter, 1123 Morven Freight Lines Rd., Wadesboro, NC.
Arlene was born in Anson County on February 27, 1933, a daughter of the late Ellis and Mollie Morton Oliver. She was a retired salon manager for Belk LaMarick in Danville, VA.
Survivors include her children, Susan Walton (Don) of Seagrove, William C. Still Jr. (Nancy) of Danville, Va, Sheila Harrington (Gary) of Morven, and Sandra Carpenter of Wadesboro; 8 grandchildren, Kim Hardison Morgan, Jason Carpenter (Jessica), Oliver Still (Celeste), Brian Still, Donnie Walton (Rebecca), Mollie Walton Flatley (Brian), Avery Harrington (Caroline), and Shelley Harrington Maness (Jason); and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her sisters and brother, Fannie Griffin of Wadesboro, Sarah Polston of Laurinburg, Agnes Sessions (Sam) of Ocean Isle Beach and Lester Oliver of Wadesboro. In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lisk, Sr. and by her first husband and father of her children, William C. Still, Sr.; a brother, Aaron Oliver; and three sisters, Esther Blalock, Rosa Gilmore and Eunice Burr.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Lincoln and his staff, also Kim Morgan, Denise Willoughby, Tamara Owens, Gelisa Foye, Joan Coppedge, Stephanie Williams, Ashley Hardison, Jessica Carpenter and Caroline Harrington for their loving care and concern shown over the past years.
