Mrs. Myrtle Lee Deese Parker Yow, 68, died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Morven Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Myrtle was born June 18, 1944 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Watt Thomas Deese and Bessie Lee Purvis Deese. She was retired from Anson County Schools and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Surviving are her children, Dale Parker of McFarlan, Eugene Parker and Wendy Jones both of Lilesville, Linda Mullis of Rockingham and Roy Dale Yow of Polkton; her sister, Hazel Adams of Polkton; 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Bryant Parker, Sr. and Roy Lee Yow, her children, Cindy Yow and Junior Parker and her brothers and sisters, Junior McKenzie, Arthur McKenzie, Thomas Deese, Alice Quick, Catherine Lee, Lilly Watts, Margie Lockler and Betty Jean Deese.
