Nancy Jane Bell Mrs. Carpenter

Lilesville-Mrs. Nancy Jane Bell Carpenter, 65, died Friday, June 21, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Monday, June 24, 2013 at Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Monday beginning at 2:00PM until time for the service. Nancy was born in Gaston County, NC April 21, 1948 a daughter of the late Marcus L. Bell and Henrett Cash Bell. She had worked a number of years with Charles Craft but will be remembered for her recent years with Wal-Mart. Surviving are her husband, Dan Carpenter of the home; her son, Daniel Carpenter of Lilesville; her grandchildren, Nicholas Hancock, Amanda Ratliff, Jonathan Carpenter and Emily Carpenter. Also surviving are her brother and sister, Jim Bell of Belmont, NC and Betty McMahan of Lexington, NC. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Carpenter Ratliff.
