Hamlet- Mrs. Nancy Rena Meachum, 46, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at her home in Hamlet. Memorial services will be 11:00am Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Gerald officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Friday, April 29, 2016 at Leavitt Funeral Home. Rena was born December 8, 1969 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late James Junior Meachum and Betty Louise Tice Meachum. Surviving are her daughters, Kristina (Chris) Johnson of Hamlet, Jessica (Robert) Blue of Rockingham and Stacy Johnson of Rockingham; her grandchildren, Cora Frazier, Lillian Frazier, Darren Frazier, Robert Blue III, Kayle Johnson and Jace Johnson; her brother and sisters, Jimmy (Argene) Meachum of Lilesville, Cheryl (Bryan) Belden of Goldsboro, Vickie (Joel) Polson of Lilesville and Marie (David) Flake of Wadesboro; her companion, Billy Helms of Morven. Also surviving are her special friends, Ray, Mandy, Enda Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Lynn Johnson and her brother, Wilson Meachum. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
