Atlanta, GA ~ Mrs. Ophelia Patricia Ann Lytle, 68, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Atlanta GA. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Sunday, May 26, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Sikes Avenue, Wadesboro NC. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro. Ophelia was born July 16, 1944 'in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Alberta Christian. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant of Sharon Towers and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Strickland and her sisters, Lois Little and Judy Strickland. Surviving are her children, Sylatha A. Freeman and Victor D. Witherspoon of Atlanta GA, Ernest L. Witherspoon Jr. of Waldorf MD; her husband Brenizer Lytle of Columbia SC; her brothers Jimmy and Terry Strickland of Charlotte NC; her sister Virginia Smith of Wadesboro NC; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The family would like to thank the staff at Gentiva Hospice, specifically Mary Katherine, for their loving care given to Ophelia during her last days.
