Pam was born January 26, 1966, in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of Deborah Hildreth Huntley and the late Russell Edward Tiffany. She was a 1984 graduate of Bowman High School.
She was employed with the Anson County Cooperative Extension Office as an administrative assistant. She was a valuable part of the extension team and always supportive of the events and programs provided by their office.
Pam was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Wadesboro where she was an active part of the worship committee, communion committee and the kitchen committee. She was faithful in her attendance and her church family could always count on her being in “her spot” on Sunday mornings for worship. For her church family and others she cared about, she was an encourager.
Pam and her soulmate, Sandy were married for 40 years and during a recent family beach trip they renewed their vows with their immediate family present and their son, Parker officiated the ceremony. Their love and commitment to each other is a shining example of a true and forever kind of love.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her husband, Sandy Layfield; her children, Madison Leopard and husband, Tyler of Stanfield and Parker Layfield and wife, Ashley of Polkton; her grandson, who was the light of her life, Everett Leopard; her mother and stepfather, Deborah and Kenneth Huntley of Wadesboro; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Gwen and Hoy Lanning of Mt. Gilead and Lauren and Tom Sellers of Lilesville; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Penney Layfield of Indian Trail and her nieces and nephews and their families, as well as, her aunt and uncles other dear family members and friends.
Pam will be remembered for her great love for her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, cooking, watching movies, camping, traveling, caring for her animals, and being a part of her church family. Her love for people and Christ was evident in the life she lived before others.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
Pam’s family requests that those attending the memorial service dress in bright colors.
