Pansy Maree Baker

WADESBORO Mrs. Pansy Maree Baker, 73, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be 7:00pm Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Thursday and following the service while other times at the home. Pansy was born October 12, 1943 a daughter of the late James Edward Maree and the late Bessie Jane Butler Maree. She was retired from Unity Knitting Mill after working 36 years as a seamstress and had also worked at West Knitting. She was a member of First Baptist Church East Campus in Marshville. Surviving are her brothers and sisters, Thomas Maree and Allen (Chris) Maree both of Rockingham and Claude (Vivian) Maree, Pauline (Brad) Pope and Faye (Earl) Gregory all of Wadesboro; her brother in-law, Richard Williams of Wadesboro and her nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister, James (Mildred) Maree and Mary M. Williams and her sister-in-law, Louvenia Maree. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church ~ East Campus, P.O. Box 279, Marshville, NC 28103. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
