OBITUARY
MRS. PATSY GULLEDGE JORDAN
WADESBORO - Mrs. Patsy Gulledge Jordan, 76, died peacefully Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at her home.
Funeral services will be 3:00pm Friday, February 22, 2013 at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Wallace and Rev. Teddy Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the church Friday for one hour prior to the service.
Patsy was born February 5, 1937 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late John William and Beatrice Quick Gulledge. She was a textile retiree having worked with Hornwood and Chic Hosiery.
A dedicated member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, she had served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir.
Surviving are her husband, of 60 years, Cleveland Jordan, Jr. of the home; her children, Cheri (Ronnie) Tyson of Wadesboro, Terry (Becky) Jordan of Lilesville and Karen (Jim) MacNulty of Mocksville; her brother, Vance (Pat) Gulledge of Lilesville; her sister-in-law, Nancy Gulledge of Lilesville; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Mark Davy Jordan and Susan Harrington and by a brother and sister, Billy Gulledge, Jr. and Betty Boling.
Patsy will be remembered as a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her grandchildren affectionately called her 'honey.' She was also well-known for her collection of angels, her yard looked like an 'angel garden' and her home was beautifully decorated with her collection, as well.
I've almost gained my heavenly home, my spirit loudly sings; the holy ones, behold, they come I hear the sound of wings. Oh come, angel band, come and around me stand; Oh, bear me away on your snow white wings, to my immortal home, oh, bear me away on your snow white wings to my immortal home.
