OBITUARY MISS PATSY CAROLYN TREADAWAY WADESBORO - Miss Patsy Carolyn Treadaway, 67, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. There will be a memorial service at 11:00am Saturday, June 4, 2011 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. James W. Gibson officiating. Interment will be private in Eastview Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home. Patsy was born June 16, 1943 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Parker Holmes and Elsie Elise McRae Treadaway. She had worked for a number of years at Little Cotton Manufacturing. She was an avid reader and loved sharing her knowledge with others. She loved flowers, animals, crossword puzzles and watching television. Surviving are her brothers and sisters, John E. Treadaway and wife, Kathy of Cheraw, SC, P. Richard Treadaway of Polkton, Sarah T. Hildreth of Charlotte and Mary Lou T. Harward and husband, Everette of Ansonville; her sister-in-law, Agnes Hasty Treadaway of Baltimore, MD and her nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sister-in-law, Robert (Bob) Treadaway, James A. and Mary Ruth Kelly Treadaway and by her brother-in-law, Grady Hildreth. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice 1119 N US HWY 1, Rockingham, NC 28379. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
