Pauline Dawkins Mrs. Hatcher

LILESVILLE - Mrs. Pauline Dawkins Hatcher, 89, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Carrington Place in Matthews. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, June 1, 2012 at Lilesville Baptist Church with Rev. Teddy Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park, Wadesboro. The family will greet friends tonight (Thursday) from 6:00pm until 7:30pm at Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro. Pauline was born September 13, 1922 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Bruce Richard Dawkins, Sr. and the late Bessie Cobb Dawkins. She was a faithful member of Lilesville Baptist Church and was retired from Anson County Department of Social Services. Surviving are her husband of nearly 67 years, Mack D. Hatcher of the home; her daughter, Dale Carpenter of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Christopher(Erin)Carpenter of Denver, CO, David (Kelly)Carpenter of Alexandria, VA, Emily(Craig) Hamilton and Andrew(Anna)Carpenter all of Charlotte; her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Charles, and Nora; and her nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother, Elizabeth Lee and Richard Dawkins.
