Peggy Tarlton Burr

WADESBORO - On Saturday, October 31, 2020, with her husband and daughters by her side, Mrs. Peggy Tarlton Burr, 62, went to be with the Lord. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Harry Workman officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. Peggy was born March 26, 1958 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Hallie Phillips Tarlton and the late John Wesley Tarlton. She retired from Anson County Schools as cafeteria manager with 28 years of service and following her retirement she worked at First Baptist Church. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, Gary Burr; her daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Chris Morris of Salem, VA, Nicole and Travis Lookabill and Ashley and John Crawford of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Seth Morris, Alexis Morris, Erin Lookabill, Gage Lookabill, Luke Crawford and Logan Crawford; her brothers and sisters, Johnny Tarlton and wife, Martha of Polkton, Ann Coakley of Norwood, Frankie Tarlton of Wadesboro and Brenda Logan of Harstville, SC and her nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jordan Lookabill and her brother and sisters, Tim Tarlton, Doris Jarrell and Frances Tarlton.
