Mr. Perry Wayne Lineberry, 65, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at his home in Greenville, NC. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Friday, February 24, 2012 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro with Rev. Jimmy Knotts officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Friday beginning at 1:30pm until time for the service at the funeral home and other times at the Lookabill Home, Wadesboro. Wayne was born December 23, 1946 a son of the late Clifton Conrad Lineberry and the late Louise Cole Lineberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, Staff SGT Jerry Lineberry, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War. He was a 1965 graduate of Wadesboro High School, a graduate of East Carolina University and later received his Master's Degree from ECU, as well. He had a long career in insurance and financial investments. He was a member of the Pirate Club for 30 years, serving as a community representative and was recently inducted into the East Carolina University Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in football. Surviving are his wife, Dianne of the home; his sons and daughter-in-law, Philip Lineberry of Arizona and Matt and Vickie Lineberry of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Rachel, Luke, Nason and Daiven; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Gay and Lee Roy Lookabill of Wadesboro and Anita and Lewis Sparks of Marshville; his step-daughters, Meghan Indoe of Williamsburg, VA, Amie Miller of Glendora, CA, Annie Wylie of Culver City, CA and Suzie Flock of Raleigh and 7 step-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East Carolina University Pirate Club, % Dennis Young, 304 Ward Sports Medicine Building, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC 27858-4353 or to the Ansonia Theatre Project, % Anson County Arts Council, P.O.
