WADESBORO - Mr. Randal Vontray Sturdivant Jr (“RJ”), was born Wednesday, June 18, 1997, to Randal Sturdivant and Delvonne Little. RJ entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 16, 2023.
Preceding RJ in death are his maternal grandparents Ray Frank and Willie Mae Little and his paternal grandfather, Rufus Lee Sturdivant, Jr.
RJ was educated in the Anson County School system and graduated from Anson High School.
RJ loved a good joke. He was very active and was known to pull a good prank! He would drive his grandmother’s electric chair around in the yard and could be heard laughing inside the house. Sometimes he would laugh so long it became infectious to others. He would not allow anyone other than his father to cut his hair. RJ valued having this special father son time. Even though he was not an overly affectionate person, RJ loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was looking forward to the next chapter in his life: fatherhood.
He leaves to cherish his unforgettable memory: his soon to be born son, Jamarion Vontray Sturdivant, mother, Delvonne Little (of the home), father, Randal (Sherron) Sturdivant (Mint Hill, NC), four sisters, Toya Sturdivant (Mississippi), Jayla Sturdivant (US Navy), Jamiyah Sturdivant (Greensboro) and Taylor Cash (of the home). Grandmother, Mary Sturdivant (Rockingham, NC). Aunts Denise Little, Sharon (Alex) Knotts, Leslie Little all of Wadesboro, NC, Gwendolyn (Stanley) Robinson of Elloree, SC, Carolyn (Wes) Taylor, Teresa (Percy) Wing both of Greensboro, NC, Wincey Sturdivant, Tina Sturdivant both of Ansonville, NC and Santalena Sturdivant of Polkton, NC. One uncle, Shron Sturdivant (Wadesboro, NC). Three great aunts, Mary (Leak) Burch, Mt. Croghan, SC, Candy (David) Hammond of Lilesville, NC and Gwendolyn (Haywood) Hammond, Greensboro, NC. His forever brother, Jatwann Howard, and his girlfriend and forever love, Tenisha Little (Jamarion’s mother).
