Randy Purvis Mr. Walters

WADESBORO - Mr. Randy Purvis Walters, 57, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Anson Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, January 4, 2013 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Knotts and Rev. James Haythe officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Thursday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home and other times at the home. Randy was born December 13, 1955 in Anson County, NC a son of Willard Broome Griggs of Wadesboro and the late Purvis Edsel Walters. Prior to his disability, he was a residential painter, having worked with the late Richard Burris. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Clinton Walters of Wadesboro; his grandson, Trenton Walters of Wallace, SC; his brothers and sister, Karen Hornback of Wadesboro, Eric Walters of Polkton, Michael Walters of Norwood, and Jeffrey Walters of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; his former wife, Cheryl Belden of Goldsboro; his aunt and caregiver, Nellie Dutton of Wadesboro, whom he loved like a mother; and his friend and nursing care-giver, Rev.
