Raymond DeUndra Mercado

WADESBORO - 

On July 18, 2002, Mr. Raymond DeUndra Mercado also known as, “Lil Man” was born in Monroe, NC. He departed his life on Friday, July 12, 2024. 

Raymond attended West Mecklenburg High School and graduated in 2020. He also graduated from NASCAR Technical Institute in 2022. 

He was a member of Streater Grove AME Zion Church in Morven. He was a maintenance technician at Pilgrim’s Pride in Marshville, NC. 

He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, and he also loved music. He enjoyed sitting with his family and friends. He was our “Gentle Giant”. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jahaz Hamilton, his grandmothers, Debra Little and Mary Hamilton and his great-grandmother, Anna Belle Johnson. 

 He leaves to cherish his memories, His daughter, Amarii Teyanna Mercado (Kari); his mother, Jennifer Little (Anthony) of Charlotte; his father, Daniel Hamilton (Melissa) of Wadesboro; his brothers and sisters, Juelz Horne and Hizmir Little of the home, Jessica and Kanya Maske of Wadesboro, NC, Daisha Little of Baltimore, MD, Victoria Little and Dekia Townsend both of Charlotte, NC, Justice Hamilton, Nzariah Willoughby, Destiny Covington, Chace Hamilton and Elijah Best all of Wadesboro, NC; his God-mothers, Lucinda and Daisy Little both of Wadesboro, NC; his God-father, Kenneth Little of Fayetteville, NC; his grandfathers, Herbert Little of Ansonville, NC and Dan T. Hamilton of Wadesboro; his grandmother, Findey Knotts of Wadesboro, NC; his great-grandmothers, Helen Jean Little of Morven, NC and Maggie Little and Prophetess Celria Byrd both of Wadesboro, NC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 27, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Streater Grove AME Zion Church Cemetery in Morven.

The viewing will be from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday before the service.. 

The family is gathering at the home at 68 Sycamore St. in Wadesboro.
