LILESVILLE - Mrs. Reece Murdock Harrington, 93, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Ambassador Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Thursday, March 28, 2013 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro with Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service and other times at her son's home in Lilesville. Reece was born February 20, 1920 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Thomas Walter 'T.W.' and Adrian Ballard Murdock. She was a graduate of Lilesville High School, a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church and had worked in the office with Alltel, now Windstream. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sarah Harrington of Lilesville; her daughter, Annette Harrington of Lilesville; her grandchildren, Stephanie and Stan Harward of Lilesville and Ginger and Jason Huffstickler of Mooresville; her great-grandchildren, J.F., Ashton and Grant Harward of Lilesville and Dillon and Justin Huffstickler of Mooresville and her brother, Joe Murdock of Lilesville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Fant 'J.F.' Harrington, Jr. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Ambassador Health and Rehab for their exemplary care shown to Reece while she was a resident there.
