Reginald "Reggie" Dennis Bowers

POLKTON - On Friday, May 24, 2024, Mr. Reginald "Reggie" Dennis Bowers, 66, passed away at his home in the Burnsville Community with his family by his side.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM, June 1, 2024, at Rocky Mount Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Leavitt Funeral Home and other times at the home in the Burnsville Community.

Reggie was born October 13, 1957, in Anson County, NC, and was a son of the late Jackie Lee Bowers and the late Julia Ann Baucom Bowers. He was a 1975 graduate of Bowman High School. He and his father were co-owners of Bowers Logging, worked as a truck driver with A B Metals, and retired from The Aquadale Quarry with B.V. Hedrick.

Reggie loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cecelia Canterbury Bowers; his sons, Joshua Bowers and fiancé', Keely Terry, Sam Bowers and wife, Nikki Carpenter Bowers and Justin Bowers; his grandchildren, Sadie, Aliya, Chandler, Carson, Chloe, and Baby Bowers; his brothers, Danny Bowers and wife, Robyn and Sherrill Bowers; his sister-in-law, Denise Caudle and husband, Rodney; his brother-in-law, Chris Johnson and wife, Patricia, and his nieces and nephews and their families and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union and Anson County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110 or to Burnsville Volunteer Fire Department, 13380 NC 742 N, Polkton, NC 28135.
