Rena Belle Howell Martin

WADESBORO – Mrs. Rena Belle Howell Martin, 100, died Sunday, January 24, 2021 while a resident at Meadowview Terrace. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later time. Rena Belle was born in Anson County on March 10, 1920 a daughter of the late William Dorsey Howell and the late Veda Grace Hinson Howell. After graduating high school, she began her nurse’s training and worked many years as an LPN at Anson County Hospital. She was married for 69 years to Edward Harding Martin before his death in 2007. Survivors include her children, Tommy Martin and wife, Sandy of Oak Island, NC, and Carolyn Forrester and husband, Donald of Woodstock, GA; three grandsons, Miguel Martin (Nicki), Derek Forrester (Kathy) and Todd Forrester (Lori); and her great-granddaughter, Carolyn Marie Forrester. The family wishes to thank the staff of Meadowview Terrace for the wonderful care, love and affection show to their mother during her years there.
