Renee' Deitch Mrs. Rodgers

Wadesboro - Pamela Renee Rodgers went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Carolinas Healthcare System Union after suffering complications from surgery. Renee was born in Chattanooga on July 14, 1952 to James Blackburn and Anna Lee Delaney Blackburn. She was adopted by her stepfather, Ike Deitch, Jr. in 1960 at the age of eight and was lovingly raised as his own daughter. She was married in 1972 to Robert Jeff Rodgers and was blessed with two wonderful sons, Robert (Jennifer) Rodgers, their children, Kinley and Legend of Scottsboro, AL, and Kris Rodgers of Wadesboro. Renee worked at BB&T in Wadesboro as a bank teller from 1998 to 2015 where she loved her coworkers and customers, especially the elderly clients with whom she shared a warm bond. She retired in 2015 to take care of her mother who was in failing health and who passed away during Renees illness on March 12. They have had a wonderful reunion. Renee accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age and has been a devout Christian ever since. She is loved by all that have had the opportunity to know her and will be sorely missed. There will be a visitation service for friends and family at Leavitt Funeral home on Saturday, April 9 from 11:30 - 1:00 PM. Renee will return to Chattanooga for a funeral service at her home church, Brainerd Presbyterian Church, on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 11:30 AM. The Reverends Jonathan Schwartz and Ronald Ragon will officiate. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, where Jeffs remains will join hers in time.
