HAMLET - Mr. Richard Wayne Davis, 75, died Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his home. There will be a memorial service at 7:00pm Thursday, June 15, 2017 at East Rockingham Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. Mr. Davis was born July 24, 1941 in Jefferson County, CO. He had worked for a number of years with the Jefferson City School System in Jefferson City, MO. He was a member of East Rockingham Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughter, Leora (Rickey) Cagle of Jackson Springs; his granddaughters, Kayla Bartlett of Asheville and Paige Bartlett of Jackson Springs; his great-grandson, Julian Bartlett and his brother Michael Davis of Jefferson City, MO. Memorials may be made to East Rockingham Free Will Baptist Church, 189 Airport Rd., Rockingham, NC 28379. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
