Rita Taylor Crump

              PEACHLAND – On Sunday, December 17, 2023, Mrs. Rita Taylor Crump, 73, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Union in Monroe.

            There will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Thompson officiating. Inurnment will follow in Griffin Cemetery in Polkton.

            The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.

            Rita was born August 24, 1950 in Anson County, NC and was the daughter of James Taylor and the late Helen Caudle Taylor. She was a graduate of Bowman High School and was a retired pharmacy technician, having worked at Kmart.

            Those left to cherish her memory are her father, James; husband of 38 years, Roger A. Crump; her children, Robbie Ross (Cindy) of Polkton, Monica Lowery (Mike) of Peachland, Larry Lowery, Jr. (Naomi) of Marshville and Roger Dale Crump of Peachland; her grandchildren, Matthew, Tonya, Tiffany, Roger Dale, Jr., Justin, Brittanie, Stephanie, Bailey, Mackinnley and Hailey; and 15 great-grandchildren.
