CHERAW, SC – On Monday, May 24, 2021, Mrs. Robbie Jean Livingston Goodwin, 81, passed away peacefully at the home of her son in Pilot, VA.
Funeral services will be 4:00pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with her sister-in-law, Rev. Jane Livingston officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McFarlan.
The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Robbie Jean was born August 28, 1939 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Livingston and the late Janie Lewis Livingston Moore. She was retired from Glenn Manufacturing in Morven, having worked as the Sample Department Manager.
She was a life-long member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in McFarlan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, James Wilson Goodwin, Jr. and Karen Goodwin of Pilot, VA; her grandchildren, James Wilson Goodwin, III, Robert Gene Goodwin, Doshia Kushman, Joseph Goodwin and Mary Elizabeth Morgan; 11 great-grandchildren and her brother and sisters, Edd Livingston and Jackie White (Julian) both of McFarlan, Margaret Sellers of Tabor City and Clara Marie Rolling (Carrison) of Cheraw, SC and her nieces and nephews and their families all of whom were very special to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson "J.W." Goodwin, Sr. in 2019 and her brother, Jimmy Livingston.
Robbie Jean dearly loved her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was always involved in the lives of her family both immediate and extended. She loved beautiful things and was often called upon to assist with decorating for showers, receptions, parties and weddings.
