Robert Michael Mike Broadaway

Polkton - Mr. Robert Michael Mike Broadaway, 66, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at his home in the Burnsville community. Mike was born April 9, 1951, a son of Mildred Rushing Broadaway and the late Robert Lee Broadaway. He spent most of his life in the logging industry - first with his father, then with his son, Scott and for the last 20 years, operating on his own. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Lisa Hinson Broadaway of the home; two sons, Scott (Meredith) Broadaway of Oakboro and Brad Broadaway of Polkton; a daughter, Brandy B. (Joe) Troutman of Oakboro; his mother, Mildred Broadaway of Polkton; and 8 grandchildren, Zach, Brennon, Harrison, Katie, Hayley and Blake Broadaway and Taryn and Lawson Troutman. Also surviving are two brothers, Roger Lee (Debra) Broadaway of Polkton and Gary Wayne (Denise) Broadaway of Oakboro. Services to celebrate Mikes life will be private.
