Robert Lee Mr. Broadaway

POLKTON - Mr. Robert Lee Broadaway, 83, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, May 15, 2015 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. Robert was born April 9, 1932 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Henry Van and Lattie Parker Brodaway. He was a retired logger and row crop farmer and a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Mildred Rushing Broadaway of the home; his sons, Roger (Debra) Broadaway and Mike (Lisa) Broadaway both of Polkton and Gary (Denise) Broadaway of Oakboro; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Inez, Orene, Ollie, Mildred, Lois, Melvin and Louise.
