WADESBORO Mr. Robert Julius Clark, 66, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe.
Funeral services will be 5:00pm Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Walden officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Robert was born December 18, 1951 in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Calvin "Fat" Clark and the late Sallie Ella Caroline Tarlton Clark.
He was retired from Coffing Hoists, formerly Duff Norton, in Wadesboro with more than 30 years of service. He was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and sang in the choir. He enjoyed listening to and singing gospel music.
Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer Clark Osborn and husband, Flint of Wadesboro; his granddaughters, Hanna Osborn and Isabella Osborn and his good friends and former co-workers, Jimmy Flake and Billy Hooks who were faithful to visit him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Clark and his sister, Alice Faye Sullivan.
