Morven - Mr. Robert Lee Williams, 68, died Friday, June 24, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Wallace and Rev. George Senter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday, JUne 27, 2016 at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro and other times at the home. Robert was born October 14, 1947 in Anson County, NC a son of Lillie Smith Williams and the late Lee Wilson Williams, Prior to declining health he had worked as a meat cutter and market manager with Food Lion and Bi-Lo Grocery Stores. He was a faithful member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church where he often played the guitar and sang. He was also well-known for his music ministry to area nursing homes. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Margaret Smith Williams of the home; his mother, Lillie Williams of the home; his children, Angela (Robert) Riley of Chesterfield, SC and Timmy (Mary Ann) Williams of Rockingham and his grandchildren, Angel Riley, Tianna Williams and Gracie Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, 3373 Country Club Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170. The arrangements are in care of Leaivtt Funeral Home.
