WADESBORO - Mr. Roderick Skyyler Polk 'Sky' was born to Rosalind Polk and Jimmy Polk on August 16, 1982 in Wadesboro, NC. He was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 23, 2012. Sky attended Anson County public schools. He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age. Sky was a devoted father, loving brother and uncle, and the center of his mother's and father's life. Sky touched the hearts and lives of many people and lived life to the fullest. He was talented in many ways and had a passion for making people smile, fishing and cars. Sky never met a stranger and was kind and generous to all those around him. He was preceded in his death by his maternal grandparents, Jo-Leatha and Robert Hailey of Wadesboro, NC, paternal grandparents, Ressie and Johnny Polk of Polkton, NC, and his uncle, John Polk of Polkton, NC He leaves to cherish his precious memory, a devoted and loving mother and father, Rosalind Polk of Wadesboro, NC and Jimmy Polk of Polkton, NC, one great grandmother, Lee Ester Conrad of Wadesboro, NC, one sister, Jimieka Hailey (Kevin Gaddy) of Wadesboro, NC, one brother, Jimmy DeJuan Polk (Katrina Hutchinson) of Flowery Branch, GA, three daughters, Talaija Polk of Wadesboro, NC, Kristina Little and Katelyn Little of Charlotte, NC, a Godson, Nasir Bellamy of Wadesboro, NC, a loving partner, LaToya Spencer of Wadesboro, NC, one nephew, DaQuon Lloyd, one niece, Kyndall Gaddy both of Wadesboro, NC, nine aunts, Veronica Chambers, Kim Hailey, Crystal Hailey, Marion Teal (Jeff ), Mary Jean Lewis, Lilly Mae Watkins (Sherman), Minnie Staton (Sebrin), Velvet Sturdavent, Catha Coleman, six uncles, Darrell Hailey (Lilly), Stan Hailey, Bryant Hailey (Fonda), Eugene Polk (Marie), Jerry Polk (Gloria), Ricky Polk (Karen), close friends, Jeremy 'JB', Kevin 'Bruh law', Sherman 'Cuzzo', John 'J Rock', Demetris 'Manifest', Duncan 'Dully', Daniel 'Boone', Jonathan 'Bruh', Percy 'P' and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, August 27, 2012 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Park.
