Ronald Treadway Mr. Ramsey

MARSHVILLE - Mr. Ronald Treadway Ramsey, 77, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at his home. Services will be 2:00pm, Friday, May 17, 2013 by the graveside in Wingate Cemetery with Rev. Britt Hadley officiating. Ronald was born November 8, 1935 in Augusta, GA a son of the late Roy Cain Ramsey and the late Lily Evelina Mulcay Ramsey. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired as maintenance supervisor with Tyson Foods in Marshville. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Anne Lee Ramsey of the home; his daughters and sons-in-law, Lesa and Johnie Walton of Tarboro, NC and Ronda and Dennis Austin of Marshville, NC; his grandchildren, Justin Austin and wife, Kelly and Wriston Austin both of Marshville, NC Garrett Austin of Goldsboro, NC and John Ronald Walton of Tarboro, NC; his great-grandchildren, Hannah, Cali, Lily and Maci Austin all of Marshville, NC; his sisters, Dorothy Huggins of Myrtle Beach, SC and Betty Fakoury of Camden, SC; cousins, who were much like his brothers, Bobby Merrill of St. Simons Island, GA and Reagan Merrill of Marietta, GA; his sister-in-law, Patsy McLaurin of Ansonville, NC and brother-in-law, Bob Lee and wife, Nancy of Ansonville, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Scott Watts. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W.
