WADESBORO - Mr. Ronnie Daniel Short, 61, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. Memorial services will be 2:00pm Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Sandy Plains United Methodist Church in Morven with Rev. Larry King and Rev. Robert Burr officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home and other times at the home of Lois Cox on Melodie Dr. Ronnie was born January 23, 1953 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Charlie Duncan and Evelyn Campbell Short. He was a member of Morven Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his sisters and brother, Lois S. Cox and Helen (Robert, Jr.) Burr both of Wadesboro and Rev. Charlie A. (Helen) Short of McBee, SC; his nieces and nephews, Denise Orr of Charlotte, Bobby (Evonne) Burr of Polkton, Chrystal (Warren) Williamson and Tracy Burr both of Wadesboro, Mary (Issac Shipman) Short of McBee, SC and Nicole (Brad) Teal of Hartsville, SC and their families and an aunt, Aletha C. Burr of Morven. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Victoria Rommel, the staff of Anson Health and Rehab and to the Ansonville Group Home for their loving care for Ronnie.
