Rosa Lee Hubbard Terry

            WADESBORO – On Friday, January 12, 2024, Mrs. Rosa Lee Hubbard Terry, 95, passed away peacefully after a long and beautiful life.

            Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Senter officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.

            The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

            Rosa Lee was born June 21, 1925, in Anson County, NC and was the fifth of eight children born to John Preston Hubbard and Annie Russell Hubbard. She was a graduate of Wadesboro High School.

            She had a long and productive career in textiles, having worked as supervisor in garment manufacturing.

            Rosa Lee was a long-time and faithful member of First Baptist Church. Until declining health, she was faithful in attendance at both Sunday school and worship services.

            Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters and sons-in-law, Gilda and Benny Galliher of Wadesboro and Ann and Dr. Jimmy Sims of Polkton; her grandsons, Benny Galliher, Jr and wife, Deborah and Chris Gallher; her great-grandchildren, Trey, Zuri and James Galliher; her special friend and caregiver, Amelia Wereski and many beloved nieces and nephews and their families.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Terry and her sisters and brothers, Ida Gathings, Beulah Grooms, Louise Blackwelder, Lina warner, Earl Hubbard, Lonnie Hubbard and Robert Hubbard.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
