Clinton - Mrs. Rosa Estelle Wright Taylor, 86, died Friday April 27, 2012 in the Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, SC. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Friday, May 4, 2012, in Hopewell United Methodist Church, Peachland, NC, with Rev. Blake Harwell and Rev. Russell Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends in the church beginning at 12:00 Noon. Estelle was born in Morven, NC on January 18, 1926, a daughter of the late Fred Thomas and Ollie Short Wright. She was an honor graduate of the Wadesboro High School Class of 1944. Following graduation, she was employed by Burlington Industries for a number of years. In December of 1950 she married James Guy Taylor. Estelle was a faithful member of First Baptist Church-Clinton where she had perfect attendance for many years. Survivors include her children, John Timothy Taylor of Spartanburg, Frederick Marshall Taylor of Clinton, Joseph Christopher Taylor of Taylors, David Alan Taylor of Blythewood, Jamie Rose Taylor of Lexington; and six grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Ruth Wright McLain of Chesterfield, Helen Joyce Wright High of Dobson, NC, Patricia Wright Osborne of Unionville, NC, Nancy Lou Wright Jones of Greensboro, NC, Hugh Thomas Wright of Mascot, FL, and Fred Daniel Wright of Winchester, MA. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard Winburn Wright, Clyde Hubert Wright, and Julian Grady Wright. Leavitt Funeral Home of Wadesboro, NC is in charge of arrangements.
