Rose Horne Wallace

Wadesboro - Mrs. Rose Horne Wallace, 83, went to her heavenly home on March 1, 2016 from Anson Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Thursday at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Byrd and Dr. Kinney Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 10:00AM. Born March 2, 1932, in Anson County, Rose was a daughter of the late Harvey and Inez Hutchinson Horne. She married the love of her life, Johnny Wallace on her birthday in 1953 and together they have journeyed through life for nearly 63 years. Rose was committed to her family, her church and her work. A longtime member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, she served as the Sunday School Dept. Secretary for over 50 years. Rose retired from Anson Community Hospital with 36 years of service and also worked alongside her husband for many years at Welika Lake Fish Camp. Survivors include her husband, Johnny, of the home; a daughter whom she dearly loved, Tanja Huntley (Vann) of Monroe; and a grandson, John, whom she simply adored also of Monroe. Also surviving are two sisters, Nancy Horne of Rockingham and Hazel Tucker (Buddy) of Greensboro; and a brother, Boyce Horne of High Point. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by three sisters, Lib Sessions, Jenny Ricketts and Nealie Daley; and a brother, Ed Horne. Memorials may be made to Mt.
