Roy Lynn Mr. Horne

PEACHLAND - Mr. Roy Lynn Horne, 67, died Friday, January 10, 2014 at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, January 13, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Griffin and Rev. Arnold Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro and other times at the home. Lynn was born May 11, 1946 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Roy William and Pauline Sanders Horne. He worked with Allvac, Baker's Division for 37 years, was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving are his wife, Ellen Newsome Horne of the home; his sons, Dennis (Heather) Horne and Tony (Kelly) Horne both of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Beau, Maggie, Katie and Natalie Horne all of Wadesboro and his brothers, Jimmie (Sandra) Horne and Bobby (Tina) Horne both of Peachland. Memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1591 Hasty Rd. Peachland, NC 28133. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
